But maybe it’s more appropriate to say he could, can or has.
You see Dr. Who is a Time Lord. He travels through time from inside a police box. It’s as easy for him to travel across the universe or time as it is for us to travel to the grocery store in our cars.
If he chose, he could commit the perfect crime. For example, he could commit the perfect stock fraud. He could step into his police box and set the dials to a dip in the stock market such as 2008 and buy a bunch of stock. Then come back to the present, sell it and make a pile of money.
The number permutations and combinations of other types of frauds in the stock market that he could break would be astronomical. He would be an extremely wealth Time Lord if he choose.
However, I think money isn’t important to him. Since I’m a fully certified space geek, I’ve been watching Dr. Who being chased by Dialects since I was a kid. Dr. Who never dies because he always manages to regenerate himself and so he’s immortal.
Who knows, maybe Who did make some money by buying and selling the odd stock here and there. After all eternity is a long time and the temptation is there.
So now you know who could commit the perfect crime.
